So another birthday has come & gone for me! Being born close to Christmas, I sometimes thought it was a bad thing because I got the two-in-one gifts from some people…and if you have a birthday close to Christmas, you know just what I mean! But now I think it’s wonderful because I get to be home with family to celebrate since most people have off of work close to Christmas time!
This birthday was just wonderful! I got to spend the weekend in New York City visiting my very best friend from high school which is always fun, & New York at Christmas time is always a sight! I received some wonderful presents – new boots, a hat & scarf to keep warm – but the best was something that I have been asking for for a while. A new camera! Unfortunately I got it after my trip to New York & can’t find the cord for my old ones which means – no pictures to share of my birthday weekend in New York.
I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes & Merry Christmas cards that I received. They brightened my day!

Lindsay Hayward the tallest women in the USA
This 23-year-old blonde Lindsay Hayward is one of the tallest women in the USA and in the world. Lindsay Hayward is 6’9″ tall. Her weight is 240 pounds. She can easily spin a man over her head before throwing him across the room. Lindsay’s fans know her as professional wrestler, Isis who can leg press an astonishing 50st.
At the age of 9, Lindsay was 6ft tall, and by 13 years old she had shot to 6ft 9ins, her today’s height. Still, despite her attractive looks and 38G bra size, Lindsay has so far been unlucky in love.

Winter Sweaters: Alpine Style
Welcome back, dolls, and a very happy new year to you! 2010 was a great year and we're excited to see what 2011 has in store for us. So far, we were lucky enough to get over 2 feet of snow and can foresee some wonderful skiing and snowboarding fun in our near future. Although we can hit those blue trails like champs, we agree that one of the best parts about a long day skiing or snowboarding is coming home, changing into something super warm and comfy, and drinking cocoa by the fireplace. While we personally wouldn't wear alpine sweaters every day, they are perfect for winter activities. If you plan on taking a ski-cation, we'd suggest packing a few of these babies, or else you'll end up getting ripped off at the gift shop after you see how cute everyone looks in their Fair Isle getup!
For all you snow bunnies out there, bundle up in this wrap snowflake sweater from Forever 21. If you're dreaming of powder fresh snow, we hear that wearing snowflakes the night before increases the chance of snowfall by 8.2%. It's all a numbers game, really. So we're thinking, if you wear this sweater, put on your pajamas inside out, and spin around three times, odds are that you'll have perfect ski conditions come morning.
If you're a tree hugging snow bunny, then you'll love this wool cardigan from Free People. It has a large collar, big buttons, and a cute alpine pattern which is great for any après-ski party. We think this would look particularly cute with a vintage tee underneath (kelly green is always our favorite color choice), Utilitarian boots, and a Peruvian style beanie.
We'll admit, when we think snowfall and skiing, we don't think poncho. But with a snowflake pattern and roomy hood, this poncho is perfect for the frigid winter cold. We love that you can layer up underneath and just drape it over whatever you're planning on wearing for the evening.
If you plan on attending a more sophisticated après-ski bash, you may want to go for this Fair Isle sweater dress available at Macy's. It's a little more posh than the big bulky sweaters shown above, but it'll still keep you cozy warm in the cold winter nights. You can dress it up with tights and flats, make it look funky with leggings and fringed boots, or go comfy with jeans and Uggs.
Let's hit the slopes, dolls!

Whether you're skiing in the Alps of shoveling snow in the suburbs, cozy up in front of the fireplace in this thick, turtleneck sweater from Victoria's Secret. The red and white make it look especially Swiss, and we guarantee that you'll be craving some fondue in no time!
Another look straight off the ski slopes is this toggle sweater from American Eagle. We love that it's a cardigan, because you can always layer up and make it more casual by adding a graphic tee shirt underneath. It comes in a number of different colors, so get your crew together and hit the slopes!

Christmas in Washington
So, for my birthday, my Mom took me and three of my roommates from school (they are from
With some of my friends from school in front of the White House near the end of our big shopping, sightseeing and dining expedition for my birthday!
To cap off the evening, we had dinner at a historic DC favorite, The Old Ebbitt Grill. The general manager of Old Ebbit is Christian Godown, and they have been a fantastic supporter of all of my fundraisers for Erick’s Hope Foundation, the American Heart Association, and the
Though I had a great time in DC with my friends on my birthday, I had an even more special experience a few days before Christmas, when I was invited to a V.I.P. tour of the White House to see its holiday decorations.
Here's a sight most people never see: the INSIDE of the White House gate!
Richard Callahan of the Secret Service greeting us and Mr. Music outside the White House.
This is the White House driveway where TV reporters often stand when reporting the news on TV.
With my family outside the White House
The theme of the White House decorations this year was “peacock”. With peacocks topping trees in places of stars, peacock blue and purple ornaments, ribbon, tablecloths and accents, and even small peacocks sprinkled along the garlands that were hung over mantels and doorways, it definitely lived up to its theme!
These few pictures just don't do justice to the magnificent decorations.
My family and I were led on our tour by both Christian Music, who works in the Executive Office of the President, as well as a member of the Secret Service, Richard Callahan. Between the two of them, I’m positive we didn’t miss out on any of the fascinating White House history, or the beautiful decorations.
With my family
I will always think of this visit when I hear the term "home office"!
Anywhere an International queen goes, there's a parent who wants their child photographed with her!
Preparing to leave the White House grounds with my sister and brother.
After our tour, we visited The Old Ebbitt Grill again for lunch this time! Unfortunately, Christian was not working, but we still got star treatment from the fabulous Ebbitt staff and had a lunch to perfectly end the memorable day, complete with quick service, delicious food, good conversation, and family. A notable fact about the Old Ebbit is that it is the oldest restaurant in
After our visit to the White House we had a wonderful holiday meal at Old Ebbitt Grill.
We had such a great time on our tour with Mr. Music and Sergeant Callahan that we hoped they could join us for lunch; however, they had to get back to doing their part to keep
With Sergeant Richard Callahan of the United States Secret Service
I would like to send big thanks out to Mr. Music, Sergeant Callahan, and all of their coworkers for all of their hard work and the countless hours they spend “behind the scenes”. Also, I would like to offer a huge “Thank You!” to our brave military troops. Inside the lobby of the White House there were baskets to deposit thank you cards so that they could be delivered directly to our deployed military members. I know that the war is a controversial subject with some but we must always remember that those who are fighting on our behalf in the war do not make foreign policy. No matter what our political affiliation or beliefs about war may be, we must be sure to support those who have volunteered to put their lives on the line to help protect the safety of our country and promote justice worldwide.
Many thousands of military Moms and Dads are away from their loved ones this Christmas, putting their lives on the line on our behalf. I was glad to have the opportunity to write some Holiday cards to some of them from the White House.
It takes a unique type of person to serve as a president. As the singular icon of leadership of our country, the president is a scapegoat by default, whenever anything goes wrong in or related to our country, blame often immediately and solely falls on the president. However, when things turn out good, the president also receives all of the thanks and glory. Though it is important to have an individual to hold accountable for the goings on in America, our country is not run by the president alone. The often thankless, “behind the scene” jobs that we overlook far too often – such as those of Mr. Music, Sergeant Callahan, and our military – are those that keep America running. So, the next time you have a chance, drop a card or care package to the troops or thank a government employee for their work.
