Meet Chanel is 20 years old and was named the oldest dog by Guinness World Records last year, and is capturing the heart of many after her appearance on the Today Show this morning. Check out photos.
Chanel is the world’s oldest dog and a celebrity in her own right. She was born in 1988 and will soon be celebrating her 21st birthday. In dog years that makes her about 147. Her once red hair has turned white, and she needs special doggie glasses for her cataracts. She eats a special diet of boiled chicken, whole wheat pasta, and a special doggie treat for her teeth. She still goes on walks during the summer with her owners, Karl and Denise Shaughnessy, but is carried for most of the way. Long gone are the days where she used to run three miles to keep her figure.

The longest snake in the world

longest-snake- 01

The official Communist Party newspaper in China is claimed the snake was one of two enormous boas found by workers clearing forest for a new road outside Guping city, Jiangxi province.

They apparently woke up the sleeping snakes during attempts to bulldoze a huge mound of earth.

“At the same time, another gold colored giant boa appeared with its mouth wide open. The driver was paralyzed with fear, while the other workers ran for their lives.

beautiful-achitectural-churches-6

The early Church originated in Roman Judea in the first century AD, founded on the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth who is believed by Christians to be the Son of God and Christ the Messiah. It is usually thought of as beginning with Jesus’ Apostles. According to scripture Jesus commanded them to spread his teachings to all the world.

Incredible Tree House Community in Costa

Finca Bellavista is a self-sustaining community in the jungles of Costa Rica. So if you are fan of everything that is eco-friendly and like to merge with nature this can be what you need. Finca Bellavista encompasses 300 acres (1.2 km2) of rainforest.
The community features houses built right on top of the trees in the Costa Rican rain forest, connected by zip lines and sky bridges. These tree houses are accessible by stairs and ladders from the ground, reminds me of the Swiss Family Robinson.
The sustainable tree house community was founded by Americans Erica and Mathew Hogan not just as their own private escape from the crazy city life but as a community that attracts permanent residents and travellers from all over the world. New residents can purchase plots starting from $55,000 and build their dream tree-home; travelers can rent room for the short or long term.

And just because you’re in the rain forest doesn’t mean modern amenities aren’t available; limited solar powered electricity, hot showers, and even wireless internet can be accessed. But the whole point of this community is to get away from it all and get closer to nature. Two rivers run around the community with crystal clear water and plenty of waterfalls for taking a dive on a hot summer day. A small town is a few miles away and the ocean is a short hike away. Some of your neighbors will include monkeys, lizards and lots of bugs; Finca Bellavista is like living in an episode of Natural Geographic.
