Visiting the Hoover Dam

While in Vegas, I got to tune in to my inner tourist and visit the Hoover Dam! Not too long before I left for Vegas, 2 of my classes were going into detail about this historical feature and that made it even cooler!

It was incredibly windy. I thought my sash was going to blow away!

Such a scary drop!

This dam really shaped the lives of Americans. It gave jobs to people who were stricken by the Great Depression and provided farmers with water for their land after the Dust Bowl. Las Vegas became famous because of the Hoover Dam as well!

It was truly a fun experience!
