Go Red! Party

It is hard to believe that the month of January has come to an end. However, that means that it is time for the most exciting month for everyone involved in the American Heart Association’s “Go Red! For Women” campaign. February is a huge month for fundraising for the American Heart Association and more importantly, raising awareness for the number one killer of women…heart disease.

To kick off this month’s celebration, I attended a “Go Red!” celebration at the Atchison Home in Mobile, Alabama. The Atchison Home is an antique furniture gallery that also serves as a social events venue. Last night, fifteen percent of the gallery’s sales were donated to the American Heart Association. Other vendors in attendance also donated a portion of their proceeds to the AHA included. 

Whether you are raising awareness through speaking engagements or beginning a fundraiser of your own, I encourage to you throw on your favorite red dress and join me in fighting heart disease!
